When heat penetration testing is conducted on rolling cans in an FMC Steritort, specialized equipment is needed. Circuits and connectors on the Hub installed in the Steritort may need to be replaced. These connectors consist of three components: wire (of specified length), a Surface Mount Connector/Receptacle (#S30) on the hub end, and either a Male Subminiature Connector (#SUBMIN-M) or a raw end (nothing installed) on the CALPlex datalogger end. Each connector is installed into the Hub on a Steritort or into the connection panel inside a pilot retort, and allows for the male locking end of a Rotary Contactor or a Male Thermocouple Connector to connect to it.
