Pouch Receptacles
Pouch Receptacles are brass fittings made specifically for Ecklund Pouch Thermocouples and Needle Thermocouples. Pouch receptacles are installed into a hole in a pouch of product and allow a thermocouple to be installed into it. There are four different types of pouch receptacles. A needle thermocouple can be installed into the original pouch receptacle (#C5.1), the modified pouch receptacle (#C5.1M), and the modified locking pouch receptacle (#C5.1ML). A pouch thermocouple can be installed into the pouch receptacle made for a pouch thermocouple (#C5.2). The C5.1 and C5.2 can be purchased in Delrin instead of brass (#C5.1D and #C5.2D). See the below sections for more information on each type.
C5.1
The C5.1 pouch receptacle is specially designed for Needle Thermocouples. This receptacle is installed into a 3/8" hole in a pouch of product (created by a Pouch Punch) and then the thermocouple is installed into it. The C5.1 includes four parts: a brass receptacle base, a brass washer, a brass nut, and a rubber Pouch Gasket (#C26). This receptacle can also be purchased in Delrin (#C5.1D).
C5.1M
The C5.1M pouch receptacle, also called the modified pouch receptacle, is specially designed for Needle Thermocouples. This receptacle is installed into a 1/4" hole in a pouch of product (created by a 1/4" standard paper hole punch) and then the thermocouple is installed into it. The C5.1M includes three parts: a brass receptacle base, a brass nut, and a rubber O-Ring Gasket (#C5.1OR).
C5.1ML
The C5.1ML pouch receptacle, also called the modified locking pouch receptacle, is specially designed for Needle Thermocouples. This receptacle is installed into a 1/4" hole in a pouch of product (created by a 1/4" standard paper hole punch) and then the thermocouple is installed into it. The C5.1ML is the same as a C5.1M except that it includes an extra threaded part for use with a Locking Thermocouple Connector.
C5.2
The C5.2 pouch receptacle is specially designed for Pouch Thermocouples. This receptacle is installed into a 3/8" hole in a pouch of product (created by a Pouch Punch) and then the thermocouple is installed into it. The C5.2 includes six parts: a brass receptacle base, a brass packing nut, a brass washer, a brass nut, a rubber Washer-Type Pouch Gasket (#C26) and a Packing-Type Pouch Gasket (#C27). These pouch receptacles are adjustable and can be moved along the length of the flexible wire on a pouch thermocouple, allowing for enough of the thermocouple to be inside the pouch. This receptacle can also be purchased in Delrin (#C5.2D).
